Travel allows us to find new places, learn of others, creating empathy and opening our eyes to other ways of living.
In this collection of work I am exploring ways of living, reflecting on the differences and similarities of living, the world over. I believe that being connected, a part of a community is important to helping us build positive and healthy relationships. Often however, our view is only a peek into someone else’s community. When we travel we just catch a glimpse of how others live.
This is the context of all my pieces, except for Global village, which is a dream, a dream of a different way of living. One where we each are valued for our differences, where we are accepted and celebrated for the way we do things. Where all work together to create a community that values others, understanding that we all have something to contribute to make a society that is whole and balanced.
